A year in entrepreneurship
January 14, 2016
I have some news for you whom aspire to be entrepreneurs one day, to create a product people love.
A year ago I was the CTO of a health tech company. The company was about to be sold to / funded by a big health group, a phase of exponential growth was about to begin.
My wife and I just had a baby and I wanted to make sure that I had plenty of time to enjoy her and family.
Plus, I had worked there for 3 years and I felt I was ready for a change. I wanted to build something by myself.
I quit my job.
I started organizing my work as a freelancer and at the same time waiting for an idea to come up.
I found it so hard to live with the anxiety of not having a normal job. It’s hard to get to work every morning knowing that you still have accomplished nothing. Being in that limbo.
My wife told me to enjoy the chaos. I think about it and I find it to be a very helpful thought.
It’s crazy to think how much we need these states of stability and we forget the importance of chaos. It’s chaos that brings us change and opportunities.
I wanted to share it with you.
